April 2023: Tips, eNews & More!

As we welcome the arrival of April, we can feel the freshness in the air and spring blossoming all around us. The birds are chirping and the flowers are starting to bloom, signalling that winter is finally coming to an end. April brings with it a renewed sense of energy and a feeling of hope as we move forward into the second quarter of the year.

April is a time of great celebrations for many cultures and faiths, including the long weekend of Good Friday followed by Easter, from April 7th to 10th, Eid ul Fitr on April 21st, and Passover, which runs from April 5th to April 13th. These are all big events for the Christian, Muslim, and Jewish communities, respectively, and great opportunities to get together with friends and families to celebrate these important religious and cultural holidays.

April is also Oral Health Month and a great time to review how to maintain good oral health and schedule a spring cleaning for your teeth. This month, we want to highlight the benefits of Hydroxyapatite. Read the article below to learn more about how you can protect your teeth against cavities, gingivitis, and other oral diseases.

Have a safe and healthy month,

Dr. Magathan and Team

What is Hydroxyapatite?

Hydroxyapatite is the main mineral component of teeth, and it has been used in dental applications to help repair and regenerate tooth enamel. It is insoluble in water and organic solvents but can be dissolved in acids. Hydroxyapatite has a unique crystal structure that makes it an important biomaterial for various medical and dental applications. This naturally occurring mineral gives your teeth and bones their hard and strong quality. You can maintain your oral health and reduce the risk of enamel erosion by using toothpaste or mouth rinse that contains hydroxyapatite.
